As globalization makes the world and our planet become smaller, it becomes increasingly easy to see how the lives of people, plants and animals everywhere are all in sync with one another. Toys made in China can affect the quality of life in Europe, the pesticides used in Argentina can affect the health of people in the United States, and greenhouse gas emissions from Australia can affect a diminishing rainforest in Brazil.
Every single thing we do every day has an impact on our world, good, or bad. The best part, we have the power to control most of those choices. Choices from where we live, to what we buy, to what we eat and what we use to light our homes, to how we shop or vote, we have an enormous impact on the world.
Why wouldn’t anyone want to ‘go green’?
I’m Goin’ Green, has a vision of the world as it could be where individuals take control over their lives and become smart caretakers of the environment, where all neightbors and nations are guided by the spirit of cooperation, and where advances in technology and science are used with respect for all living things as tools to enrich all life and the world we live in.
